Yongzheng Period Vase

Dear Peter,

Thank you for helping all of us! My mother was a prolific dealer in the 60/70's, can you confirm that this is a Yongzheng period vase and comment on it's approximate degree of rarity? It seems to have the correct zhuanshu mark from the Qing Reign.

Hi,
Totally agree with Peter. In my opinion, it should not be Yongzheng. The style, mark and colour do not look like Yongzheng M/P.

The mark could be printed. It seems the strokes are too regular to be drawn by hand, and there seems to be intermittent white spaces within the strokes. That is usually a sign of printing. You could inspect these with a magnifier. Lines drawn by hand should show lighter and darker ends, that is they should be darker at the beginning, where the ink/color was plenty, and lighter at the other end. If they all are are the same color, then it is usually printed.

As to the decoration. I could be mistaken but this gives more the impression of a modern or Japanese decoration.
