Yixing Teapot

by Alan

Hi all!
I have this Yixing teapot and want to know what the markings say and who made it.
It measures H-10cm, W-10cm (at the widest).

All comments on it are most welcome.

Thanks in advance

Alan

Yixing teapot
by: peter

Hi Alan,
I'm no specialist in Yixing teawares and do not have any reliable information on these, including the artist's marks. The mark characters are a bit different from the character styles I know so I have difficulties reading many of them.
But, as I see that nobody else answered, I offer you one little piece of information.

The first character of the text on the side of the teapot means "sun" (Yang) and is written in simplified characters, while the other ones are written in traditional characters. This gives the whole away as something made in the second half of the 20th century. My guess it is rather on the later side. Simplified characters were introduced in 1956, but were not in general use before the sixties, as far as I know.
Artisans in present-day China often try to write in traditional characters to give the appearance of age, but sometimes inadvertently mix in simplified characters, this can be used for dating to some degree.
