Who is painted on this bowl? Is this from the 1920's? Any more info?

I just bought this lovely footed bowl for 30 dollars.. I am not sure if that is a good deal or not but the painting sure is nice. I hope that someone can give some info about it... such as who is depicted on the bowl? and can someone date it? Thanks.. Ryan

Thanks again. I think this piece might not be worth too much but I think it's cute so I'll keep it.
offerings plate

Looks like an offerings plate for the house altar.
Do not know whom it depicts, just a scholar, maybe. Late Qing to Early Republic period.
