I have a few jade pendants approximately 1-2 inches in height & 1 in. wide. They are carved on both sides & they have holes that are not round through them.I have looked at them carefully & there are no bubbles as in peking glass, they have passed the scratch test. I have checked them scrupously for any type of tool marks that would denote fakery. Ihave checked for sandblasting marks also. I have noticed that there is an orange-peel like texture, but not evenly spaced. There is a floral pattern with a crane /heron, a cat-like figure ,which may be a dragon of sorts. It reminds me of the dragons in their parades. the only thing i have not done is the specific gravity test.
Sorry, cannot help with jade. I would try asianarts.com
