Yes i understand that the mark could have been used in the 20 century but this vase was bought in 1841 in China as being old at that time. What do you mean by Gilt being too shiny? If you refer to the painting it´s not that shinny. If it is the gold of course its gold, it shines i think. And the porcelain being blueish, with no traction on touch. What do you classified it. I´ll upload more pictures. in other topic.

Your friend is correct with his/her doubts. The gilt is a bit too shiny for that period.
This vase has a mille fiori (aka mille fleur) decoration. You will find similar items by doing a Google image search for "chinese mille fleur porcelain".
The spurious Qianlong mark is stamped and such marks were mainly used in the 20th century.

By the way, i forgot to tell that the porcelain it´s blue. Not the normal white we see over there. its like the porcelain of Royal Company of Rato in Portugal (1700). Also if the gold was added how to take it off?
