POSSIBLE QUINLONG MARK PIECE???

by Angie

I bought this at a yard sale and got to looking on ebay and saw the markings on the bottom. I have no idea if it is real or fake but would like to know. It has some different colored flowers on it with what looks like bats with gold glasses on them, it has birds and butterflies and maybe a turtle with or eguanna with black eyes or sunglasses. I have searched and searched but cant find NOTHING like this. Some of the figures have gold on them too. It also looks like there is a vase with flowers in it. Its very different looking and just would like to know what I have. On the bottom of the bowl it looks like some of the writing has come off. On some of the painted flowers the paint is raised and around the top of it there is gold trim. If you can help me and tell me what this is I would appreciate it. I do not know if its a bowl, dish or what. Also, who was it made by, is it real or fake? Thank you so much. Angie

value and origin

Please read "Value of Antiques" on the left. Such items have little collecting value when they are not antique.
And no, it is impossible to know who manufactured or sold these.

narcissus bowl

This is a narcissus bowl. The bulbs are kept directly in water, without soil.
First I will give you some information on this type of mark. Basically it is a stamp bearing the Qianlong name, but Qianlong marks were all hand-painted. Virtually all stampe Qianlong marks of this type are 20th century... they are only for decoration.

The item seems to copy coral red items from the early 20th century, but the decoration is painted in a way (colors) that points to the later part of that century.
Please also note that a pure white (snow white) glaze is a sign of 20th century items. Most items of earlier times would have a more mellow white tone, with a slight tint of gray, etc.
In my view this is vintage or even more recent, judging from these pictures.
