ty peter. yes the saucer is all scribbly for a signature but at first glance i thought the cup and plate matched then noticed a few differences and the makers didn't match. i appreciate ur time

Japanese cup, from appearance it could be possibly Kutani kiln. Artist or shop mark, but cannot read second character. Not sure if I could if the characters were larger.

Can't read the handwriting, but saucer and mark should be Japanese.
