Need help with 2 vases

I am in the process of buying 2 vases and I want to make sure they are truly antique and worth the money. Please help.

This vase shows persons in Japanese attire, and the overall impression of the colors is more Japanese.
In addition there is a modern Chinese mark.
Apparently no antique.
