This is an example of a close-up. You can see the single brush strokes and details, and also the blemishes (frittings) at the edge. Additionally, closeup images of the bottom and foot rim are the single most important images, as age, authenticity, etc. mostly depend on these. The content of the painting itself is only secondary.
