Thank you Peter. I just want to add one thing the small label on the side has some english as well as chinese. The english reads like this TIN-INLAIDYIXINGCEREMICSTEASETSDASHANSXINGIAO.
Thanks again Ron
Yixing pottery item by: peter
This looks like a Tiesha teapot, etc. from Yixing, as you know. I cannot help much with Yixing ware, I'm afraid, as this is a different field from porcelain. Items with metal bra despitecings, spouts, etc. were apparently made mainly for export. We never see them here. The Chinese mostly seem to use 'clay only' teapots.
The writing on the box is the name of the seller (Zhongguo Jiwen Zhai). The smaller characters at the side seem to name the factory, but they are too small for reading. The mark proper is usually at the bottom of the pot. I could not help with that, though. Maybe someone collecting Yixing teapots could have more information...
As the metal braces do not seem to have any patina yet, it is likely a fairly new set.
