LARGE WHITE PORCELAIN STATUE

Hi, I was given this white porcelain (I think) statue that I know absolutely nothing about. The marking on it starts with D P and I didnt have my glasses on to see the rest, can anyone help me to identify this piece?

Hello,
The statue doesn't look Chinese at all, and the mark you describe cannot be Chinese either, I think. Maybe it is European.
