Large unmarked Chinese Vase

I would like to know
the maker and the period if possible
it is 24" high
pictures are painted over glaze
it is unmarked

Hello, you asked about "Periods". Look at left for "History Timeline" which goes up to 1911, end of Qing Dynasty. After that up to 1949 was Republic Period.

Some very good quality porcelains were made in late Qing Dynasty and early Republic periods, including imitations of 18th century porcelain. Also very many not so good quality.

In most recent 30 years have been made in China some very good imitations of 18th century pottery and porcelain also, and very good and very poor fakes of Ming Dynasty wares.

Poor imitations of older Chinese porcelains also now made Indonesia, and decorations in Macau and Hong Kong.

All these imitations being made very large numbers. You can like them or not like them, but they should not be at all expensive.

Can you upload the photo of the base? From the choice you gave, I think Your vase is made after 1950's.

it think it is made in 1950's. please correct me if I am wrong.
I am not in position to tel you what to do, but, do you thing, it would be helpful for us if you can make a table for the periods?
a) new: after ear 2000
b) ?????: between 1950 and 2000
c) ?????: between 1900 and 2000
d) antique: before 1900

you probably done it already

Hi,
It is impossible to know the maker of your vase. The decoration is Qing style. However, your vase looks new to me. In my view, it is modern piece and is not of Qing period.
