Jade Brush Pot

Peter,
Any idea on how old this brush pot is? No markings found but the carvings are very intricate and the object is quite heavy!

I cannot help with Jade. However, to me the color looks a bit too bright in comparison to the green jades I have seen, as if it were dyed.
You should do a scratch test to see if its hardness corresponds to jade. I believe you can find information on the materials used for scratching the jade online.
