MAN FIGURE WITH THE BOY

MY MOTHER HAS THIS ONE AND WE HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHO IT IS AND IF IT IS REAL ALSO. DO YOU KNOW WHO THE MAN WITH THE BOY IS???? PLEASE EMAIL ME BACK MAYBE WE CAN HELP EACHOTHER WITH THIS MYSTERY.

ivory or fake?

I have a set of figurines that are identical to these pictures you posted. My parents bought them in a gift shop that dealt in NEW objects, about forty years ago. I'm pretty sure they are reproductions.

Ooops. I just took a closer look and saw that the figures ARE different. The female figure I have is holding a lantern that hangs from the bottom of her basket. Yours seems to have a child's face below the bottom of the basket. And the bases are different as well. So who knows!
