Ginger Jar

I bought this ginger jar in 1979 at a pawn auction. I don't know a thing about it. It is beautiful. There is a lot of texture to the enamel when you touch the images. It is 13" tall. Can you tell me more about it. Thank You.

Hello,
If you bought it in 1979 then it is older than I thought it might be. This item has nothing to do with antiques or traditional Chinese painting techniques, I'm afraid. It is just using a Chinese motif. Colors and painting style are completely different in antique items.
