Picked this piece at a country auction, wondering your thoughts about it's age, history and value if any.

This is not porcelain. Looks like enamel on a copper or brass base. The confusing thing is why the inside looks uneven.
Anyway, probably Chinese, more recent, not very carefully crafted. The phoenix, for example, is hardly recognizable as such.

"chinoiserie" would be Euroean, but never heard of European copies of this type of craft.
