Chinese/Japanese plate with unknown mark

Just bought a plate and couldn't identify how old it was, and where it was from? Can't even find the hallmark.

Obviously the item looks Japanese. The mark seems to be a modern factory mark, but I cannot tell if it was made in China or Japan. Maybe someone else here can help.
