Chinese plate

Hi,
This plate came to me from my grandparents. My grandmother wrote a note with it to tell me that it once belonged to my grandfather's grandmother (b. 1861, married 1879) who lived in Watsonville and later Lonoak, CA.

Can you tell me anything about it?

The plate measures approx. 13" across.
