Hi Peter,
I don´t buy things, who did bought them was my Great-Grand Father. My mother has a nice collection of imperial dishes too. Most of what she has is royal european things. As for of that close of mine that knows chinese. At least i thought he knew, as saying ming dynasty seals and being qianlong seals...
I knew it was rosewood not cause he told me, but in family an uncle works with woods.
