The color of the wood is redish, cant put that on photo. its too dark to be pir or pine, the back pannels are twice darker than pir or pine. if you have told rosewood or something close. i´ll try to put the color on photo. thanks.


By the way i forgot to tell, that the bed weight around 3 tons.

The wood looks as if it were fir or pine. With that kind of wood it is possible to be 19th century at the most. The majority of Chinese furniture I have seen, using this type of wood, is from the first half of the 20th century at the most.

Your panels have been restored and the gilt looks as if it was repainted. All wood has either been over-lacquered or covered with hard wax for protection.
Fissures and cracks are the rule (not the exception) with that type of wood when it was in a Chinese house a few decades. Chinese houses aren't tight. Winter cold and humidity in summer all can take their toll on such wood.
