we have an old bowl with ten elephants in lovely releif around it it is brass and it is marked on the bottom of the bowl we would like more info please

Hello,
I cannot read the first and third characters. The middle one reads 'Tani' in Japanese (meaning 'valley'). It could be a Japanese artist's name. This is hardly Chinese.
