In these pictures the clouds along the rim seem to be exactly repeated. You see five clouds, then the next five are an exact replica. That points to transfer printing. With handpainted items these would never be exactly the same. Then the way the hair appears in the first picture also points to printing. In addition, the foot rim is not shaped like a Chinese rim. Though the motif is Chinese, this could be Japanese. How old I cannot tell you, but in Japan transfer printing was used since the 19th century, while in China it was introduced only later in the 20th century.
