I was wondering if you would happen to know more information about the chinese bowl. Is this a fake?

Your bowl is not a "fake," which would be an attempt to reproduce something in order to sell it as antique or older. Yours does not attempt to reproduce something old.

Many reproductions are made that are not intended to be sold as if they are the genuinely old item. These are not fakes, they are just reproductions, and are often marked with the modern manufacturer's mark.

Yours is a genuine porcelain bowl that is not pretending to be anything but a modern practical bowl.

This item is new. As there is nothing that can be used for identification in the design it might be either Chinese or Japanese, but not old.
