It depends on what you understand under "MEDIEVAL PERIOD". If it is the equivalent of the European medieval age, then no, that is quite impossible. Japan did not have any relevant porcelain production until the 17th century.
One question, is the black line at the edge of the spout exposed metal? Is this enamel on a metal (brass) base? The cup is porcelain, but the pot doesn't look the same.
Anyway, you could try asianart.com. They have people specialized on Japanese art there. Maybe they can tell you more.
