Asian bowl/dish?

Hi Peter,
I purchased this item many years ago at a car boot, i thought it looked really nice at the time and just came across it the other day whilst doing a shed clear out. Could you tell me if its chinese, japanese? is it worth any value...? it doesnt seem to have any markings underneath.
