18" vase with lid and painted scenes

Lid has dog with foot on ball. Handles are dogs. Base is footed. In family 100 years, no history as to origin. Does it have value?

Hello,
Basically this looks more like a censer, but in that case it would have holes in the lid.

I can't help you much with this as it seems to be Japanese. It could be Satsuma porcelain, but not quite sure.
