There was a stage during the Kangxi period in which the vacant double ring was favoured . It was for 4 or 5 years I think.
But as Peter says it is not a 'stand alone' method of dating an object

Concentric rings on Chinese porcelain may be marks, but they cannot use for dating. Only the item itself can be used as marks were copied all the time.
